Rwanda’s recovery, post the 1994 genocide has been hailed as a global example of how a country can rise from the ashes to build a vibrant, forward looking economy. Rwanda has been ranked highly in doing business indicators covering economic and human development. Strides that have seen the country sustain an 8.8% gross domestic product growth compared to Kenya’s –East Africa largest economy- 5.4 percent growth in 2015.
On the sidelines of the just concluded world economic forum for Africa, our reporter Maya Hayakawa paid a visit to C and H Garments factory in Kigali town, for part one of a special report lessons from Rwanda.
