Homicide detectives have launched investigations into the mystery killing of controversial businessman Jacob Juma who was shot dead Thursday night by unknown assailants several meters past the Lenana high school near the Southern by-pass.
Nothing was stolen from the controversial businessman whose armoured Mercedes Benz vehicle had its rear passenger window shattered with bullets. Police officers from the Karen police station who were the first at the scene found the deceased's car in a ditch with his personal effects including cash, mobile phones and national identity card intact.
His brutal killing sparked off angry reactions from opposition leaders who termed the incident an execution and called for speedy investigations into the matter.
