Nairobi’s independent gubernatorial candidate Peter Kenneth has asked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to put its house in order and deliver a free and fair General Election next month.
Speaking at Land Mawe estate in Starehe constituency yesterday, Kenneth said “Nairobi residents are not ready for sideshows”. He said ordinary Kenyans don’t mind who prints the ballot papers but expect a free and fair election.
“Nairobians and Kenyans at large are not interested in sideshows. They only want the August election conducted in a professional manner that guarantees its fairness,” said Kenneth.
He also called on Nairobi residents to vote for him, saying incumbent Evans Kidero had mismanaged county funds and failed to implement projects while his other close rival, Senator Mike Sonko, “has no clue about his oversight role”.
