Suspicion between supporters of two Nasa affiliate parties supporters in Kolumani, Lugari constituency, was high yesterday over the killing of ANC youth winger and bodyguard of area MP Ayub Savula by suspected ODM goons.
Gerrishon Kwova was stabbed 10 times in the chest by a gang donning ODM T-shirts on Monday evening. Yesterday, ANC deputy party leader accused ODM and Ford Kenya candidates and their supporters of planning the “political murder”.
Savula said Kwova had received death threats alongside five others for zoning Lugari as ANC zone. “We had reported the threats to police. We want the Inspector General of Police to get to the bottom of it.
This country won’t be taken to that route.” But Kakamega police boss Tito Kilonzi said the deceased met his death after a bar brawl at Lumani market.
