Lecturers have temporarily halted the plan for massive demonstrations as a tactical lobbying to push for their demands for better pay and terms.
They have, however vowed to defy all manner of intimidation to call of the ongoing strike until their demands are met.
University Academic Staff Union (Uasu) secretary general Dr Constantine Wasonga said the strike will go on and urged members to ignore, memos, threats all communication from management saying the boycott will only end after the union struck a water-tight return to work formula that will shield all dons from victimisation.
The members are this morning expected to get directions from their chapter officials and particularly, attend only union meetings or avoid their workplaces. They are to also assist with conducting a spot check and monitoring to ensure total paralysis.
