Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has said health, education and infrastructure development are some of the key accomplishments his administration has accomplished in the last four years.
Speaking during the Jamhuri Day celebrations in Nakuru, Mbugua said the county had performed well, adding that his government is committed to providing quality, accessible and affordable healthcare.
He attributed the improved health services to both infrastructural and personnel development saying his government has upgraded 203 health facilities in the county. “We have upgraded the number of health facilities in our county totaling to 203 to provide better services to locals,” he said.
In education, Mbugua said 487 Early Childhood Development Education classrooms put up will cater for at least 51,000 needy children. The governor urged politicians to engage in peaceful campaigns ahead of 2017 general election.
Nakuru County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha warned politicians against spreading hate speech during the campaign period. Speaking at Afraha Stadium during the Jamhuri Day celebrations, Nkanatha said those engaging in hatemongering will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
