The National Police Service Commission has announced a Sh0.5 million cash reward to any Kenyan who will produce information leading to the arrest of runaway criminals who robbed Booker Police Patrol Base in Mumias last Thursday.
Police Spokesman George Kinoti yesterday said the cash will be paid to any citizen who volunteers to give information in confidence. He said that on the material day, an unknown number of gangsters armed with dangerous weapons stormed the station and robbed seven G3 rifles and several ammunition.
“The information may be given to any Police Station, Directorate of Criminal Investigation office or officers and through our Free Toll lines 999,112,911,” said Kinoti.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet has ordered for expeditious institution of investigations on complaints against excesses by the police while conducting the operation to net the suspects.
