A human rights organisation, Haki Africa, and popular musician Jaguar on Saturday settled the hotel bill and paid air ticket for Congolese lingala maestro Matumona Defao alias Le General Defao after he was detained in a Mombasa apartment.
The musician expressed disappointment in what he termed ‘shortchanging’ by Bobs bar management. “I performed and was paid the agreed performance fee of Sh90,000 but then the management asked me to stay in Mombasa for another show slated for Wednesday and agreed to settle hotel bills for the extended period, this they failed to do,” said Defao.
However, Bobs management declined having a visitor at the villa claiming that their agreement with Defao ended on Saturday.
