President Uhuru Kenyatta has been challenged to demonstrate the government's commitment towards implementation of devolution, if he expects to galvanize the support of governors in next year's general election.
Chairman of the council of governors Peter Munya, also faulted the jubilee administration for the perennial delays in disbursement of funds to the counties saying it was hampering operations and services delivery in the devolved units.
He also took a swipe at the senate accusing it of engage them in a supremacy contest by engaging attempting to undermine them in the guise of demanding accountability from county chiefs. Munya spoke during a forum where the governors analyzed the state of devolution three years on.
