Seven MPs from Siaya county yesterday said they have so far collected 31 bullet casings from the scenes of ugly demonstrations against Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) that led to the killing of three people.

Addressing the press yesterday, the MPs who included Jakoyo Midiwo(Gem), George Omondi (Alego Usonga), Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda),

James Nyika (Seme), Oburu Oginga (Nominated), David Ochieng’ (Ugenya), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo) said it was clear the officers were “out to shoot peaceful protestors”.

“These are people who were on a hunting spree. You do not find anywhere such number of bullet heads targeting human beings,” said Omondi.

While calling for prosecution of the officers who killed the three people, Midiwo also said it was regrettable top cops are defending the actions of their colleagues yet “it was clear they used excessive force”.
