Some Kuria ODM leaders have defended Migori governor Okoth Obado on claims he is undermining the party by supporting the Jubilee Party in the area.
The leaders said reports that Obado was a Jubilee mole were malicious and aimed at undermining his support ahead of the election. They accused Suna East MP Junet Mohammed of “making baseless allegations against Obado instead of working as a team to deliver votes for Nasa” in the region.
Junet, who is also ODM party director of campaigns, alleged Obado is not seeking votes for Raila Odinga. “Obado while campaigning in Kuria has been instructing voters to support him at the ballot, but vote for Jubilee candidates for other seats including for Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.
