Many African cultures have been known to deny widows their right to choose how to live their lives after the death of their husband.
Many of them are forced to get inherited by the men in the community, while in some cultures, the widows are made to live far away from the community, since they are considered to be carrying the spirit of death.
K24's Nancy Onyancha visited one widow in Bisil area of Kajiado county who was made to move out of her matrimonial home and build her own small Manyatta in an isolated area.
