National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale has described ODM party leader Raila Odinga as the best suited presidential candidate for the National Super Alliance (Nasa) team.
He described Raila as the most qualified politician and candidate compared to other Nasa co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) and Musalia Mudavadi of the ANC party.
He said Nasa team should give Raila the ticket, saying his leadership qualities having served as Prime Minister places him as the best bet for flag bearer post.
Speaking in Parliament yesterday during a debate on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s State of the Nation Address speech, Duale told Nasa not to take long to decide on a flag bearer when they have a qualified candidate in Raila.
He cited recent opinion poll results that placed the former premier as most suited candidate to be the flag bearer of Nasa to back his argument.
According to Duale Jubilee Party is ready and waiting for the Opposition to name its flag bearer who will challenge Uhuru in the August 8 contest. “The referee is ready, the linesman is ready, the fans have filled the station, but the other team is missing.”
