Tiaty legislator Asman Kamama, who is under siege over allegations of fuelling Baringo attacks has vowed not to relinquish his position as National Assembly Security Committee chairman.
Speaking to the press in Nakuru, Kamama also refuted claims that he was arrested and forced to record a statement at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices in Nakuru on Sunday. “I am not using my position in Parliament to oversee war.
The claims linking me to the atrocities are baseless,” he said. He also said his critics, who want him to resign are confusing the powers of the Inspector General, Interior CS and his position.
“Even with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) or the Scotland Yard, results will emerge that my name is “as white as snow” and I will be set free,” he said.
Kamama said he does not support banditry citing that the committee he chairs plays an oversight role and only advance the decisions of the government not of individuals.
