The government has been urged to re-open the customs and immigrations border point in Harhar Liboi so as to monitor the movement of people and goods that enter into and from Somalia.
Speaking to the press after touring the staled project that includes office and residential buildings, Dadaab MP Mohamed Dahiye said that the government was loosing millions of shillings as a result of the continued closure of the border point.
The border point which is less than a Kilometer from Doble in Somalia was closed ten years ago, despite the government pumping an estimated 300 Million shillings to set up the facility.Residents are now calling on the government to restart the project which is said to be their source of livelihood.
