Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi, who was appointed to spearhead Jubilee Party campaigns in the county, has assured aspirants the outfit’s nominations will be free and fair.
Consequently, he has urged former MPs Sam Ongeri and Omingo Magara, to seek nominations through the party saying they will campaign for the nominee to win the seat.
Ongeri and Magara, who lost Kisii county’s senator seat bid to incumbent Chris Obure have kept off jubilee campaigns under the aegis of Gusii unity caucus headed by Maang’i and Obure over alleged fear they have been locked out of the party politically.
He defended his recent endorsement of Charles Nyachae to vie for senator on Jubilee Party, saying it is personal.
