Alego/Usonga MP George Muluan has asked two lawmakers to stop endorsing candidates in his constituency, saying it will jeopardise Cord leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

Speaking on Monday at Tula, North Alego when he commissioned a Sh3 million Kakan Water project, he accused Suna MP John Mbadi and his Ugunja counterpart Opiyo Wandayi of vilifying him in public adding that they should wait for the seat to be declared vacant.

“Endorsing aspirants in Alego/Usonga will not add any vote to Raila who is seeking to oust President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 General Election. The two leaders should instead change tack and widen their campaign scope,” said Muluan.

He said Kenyans should be allowed to elect leaders of their choice saying that if they are coerced to support some candidates, people will boycott polls and that will impact negatively on Raila’s bid. “I have sacrificed a lot to fulfil my campaign pledges and I am confident I will recapture the seat,” he said.
