The battle for the coastal vote intensified today with the two main coalitions CORD and Jubilee stepping up their efforts to appeal to voters ahead of the 2017 polls.
Deputy president William Ruto was in Kwale county where he issued title deeds to area residents with a promise of more titles as the ruling Jubilee Alliance stepped up its efforts to address the long standing land issue at the Coast.
CORD leader Raila Odinga who addressed the annual Law Society of Kenya conference before resuming his 4 day tour of the coastal region accused the government of failing Kenyans and seeking to reverse the gains made under the new constitution.
