Trans Nzoia Members of Parliament allied to the now defunct New Ford Kenya (NFK) have affirmed their commitment in marshalling support for the yet-to-be-launched Jubilee Party ahead of the 2017 General Election.
Speaking yesterday in Cherangany sub-county, county Women’s Rep Janet Nangabo and Saboti MP David Wafula said the new outfit will unite communities in the country, adding that politicians from Western region have declared support for it.
Wafula said NFK is in Jubilee to stay and told off their critics for claim to hold sway at the grassroots, saying the outfit is new and no grassroots official has been elected yet.
“Leaders from western region are now working with the Jubilee administration because of the good development record and that’s the reason we resolved to collapse NFK and join the party,” said Wafula.
Nangabo said the government has been working closely with Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba to ensure that thousands of squatters have received land title deeds.
